G711 Fax Mode (G711)

Parent Previous Next

When sending or receiving faxes via ISDN CAPI 2.0 connection you can use audio fax mode (fax over G.711 codec). When sending/receiving faxes using this method, Fax Voip T.38 Console does not use fax features of your ISDN card, as it is usually done in the CAPI 2.0 fax applications. Fax is transmitted as standard audio data. Fax Voip T.38 Console operates the same way like analog fax machine that connected to the ISDN line via adapter. Fax Voip T.38 Console uses the same technology that is used when transmitting audio faxes via SIP or H.323 (Fax over G.711 codec).

To apply this mode to outgoing ISDN CAPI 2.0 calls do the following:

1.     Open Fax Voip T.38 Console Control Panel.

2.     Click VOIP in TreeView, then click Outgoing Plan.

3.     To create new rule click New. To edit an existing rule select it and click Edit (or double-click the selected rule).
