Configure Fax Lines

To send/receive faxes you don’t need to install additional fax software. More details can be found in the Sending and Receiving Faxes (Audio Messages) chapter of this user manual. To send a fax, simply print the required document to the Fax Voip Virtual Printer. To manage all outgoing and incoming faxes you should use Fax Voip T.38 Console application.

When configuring Fax Voip T.38 Console, pay attention to the Default Fax Mode option that describes the default fax protocol for sending faxes via Fax Voip Virtual Printer (in the Fax Voip T.38 Console Control Panel click Fax in TreeView). Select T.38 (auto) if you want to send faxes with T.38 support by default. Select audio if you want to send faxes as audio (fax over G.711 codec) by default. Select isdn if you want to send faxes via ISDN CAPI 2.0 line by default. Note that you can change Fax Mode in the Fax Voip Printer dialog window before fax sending (or using Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio) function).

More details about sending faxes via e-mail soft and receiving faxes to e-mail can be found in the Mail to Fax (Mail to Audio), Route through e-mail Incoming Routing Method and E-mail Delivery Receipts Outgoing Routing Method chapters of this user manual. It is recommended to configure these features only after you have successfully configured Fax Voip T.38 Console to send and receive faxes.

To configure the various additional Fax Voip T.38 Console functions, you should read the corresponding chapters of this user manual.
