To configure Fax Station ID and Fax Headline in Windows Server 2022

Please note that the Use device Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) option can be also configured using Configure Fax Service button in the Fax Voip T.38 Modem Control Panel, see Configure Fax Service using Fax Voip T.38 Modem Control Panel.



Outgoing Fax. Use Device TSID.


This method does not allow to override Fax Station ID (TSID).


1.     Click the Start button, and then click Server Manager. In the Server Manager, select Fax Service Manager from the Tools menu. Alternatively, you can select Fax Service Manager command from the Fax Voip T.38 Modem tray icon menu or click Fax Service Manager in the Fax Voip T.38 Modem Control Panel, in the Main tab of the Ribbon.

2.     In the Microsoft Fax Service Manager, on the left pane right click on the Fax. On the context menu, click Properties. In the Fax (Local) Properties window, on the Outbox page, check Use device Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) option. Click Apply.



3.     In the Microsoft Fax Service Manager, on the left pane double-click Fax, double-click Devices and Providers, double-click Devices, and then right click on the Fax Device Fax Voip 14.4K TAPI Voice-Fax Modem. On the context menu, click Properties. On the General page, in the Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) box, specify your Fax Station ID. Maximum length is 20 characters. Click Apply.



4.     In Windows Fax and Scan, on the Tools menu, click Sender Information.... In the Sender Information window, in the Company box, specify your Fax Headline. Maximum length is 50 characters. Click OK.




Outgoing Fax. Don't use Device TSID.


Using this method you can override Fax Station ID (TSID) when creating a fax.


1.     Click the Start button, and then click Server Manager. In the Server Manager, select Fax Service Manager from the Tools menu. Alternatively, you can select Fax Service Manager command from the Fax Voip T.38 Modem tray icon menu or click Fax Service Manager in the Fax Voip T.38 Modem Control Panel, in the Main tab of the Ribbon.

2.     In the Microsoft Fax Service Manager, on the left pane right click on the Fax. On the context menu, click Properties. In the Fax (Local) Properties window, on the Outbox page, uncheck Use device Transmitting Subscriber ID (TSID) option. Click Apply.



3.     In Windows Fax and Scan, on the Tools menu, click Sender Information.... In the Sender Information window, in the Fax number box, specify your Fax Station ID. Maximum length is 20 characters. In the Company box, specify your Fax Headline. Maximum length is 50 characters. Click OK.




Incoming Fax


1.     Click the Start button, and then click Server Manager. In the Server Manager, select Fax Service Manager from the Tools menu. Alternatively, you can select Fax Service Manager command from the Fax Voip T.38 Modem tray icon menu or click Fax Service Manager in the Fax Voip T.38 Modem Control Panel, in the Main tab of the Ribbon.

2.     In the Microsoft Fax Service Manager, on the left pane double-click Fax, double-click Devices and Providers, double-click Devices, and then right click on the Fax Device Fax Voip 14.4K TAPI Voice-Fax Modem. On the context menu, click Properties. On the General page, in the Called Subscriber ID (CSID) box, specify your Fax Station ID. Maximum length is 20 characters. Click Apply.
