To adjust fax resolution

The fax resolution can be: Normal for 204 x 98 dots per inch (dpi) or Fine for 204 x 196 dpi.



To configure Fax Soft Virtual Printer resolution


1.     Open Fax Voip Softphone Control Panel.

2.     Click Fax in the tree.

3.     In the Printer Resolution field select 204 x196 dpi to create faxes in high-quality resolution (Fine). Or select 204 x 98 dpi to create faxes in Normal resolution.

4.     Click Apply to save settings. All the changes are applied immediately.



You can also adjust fax resolution by changing the property of Fax Soft Printer (Printer Preferences => Advanced => Print Quality) when printing a document.



Note, that when you create and send a fax from a Windows application, the properties configured for a regular application printer may take precedence over the global properties set for the Fax Soft printer. For this reason, it is useful to check the printer's resolution in the Fax Soft Adwanced Options window when printing from your application.



To adjust fax resolution when using Direct Converting


1.     Open Fax Voip Softphone Control Panel.

2.     In the tree click Fax, and then click Fax Converter.

3.     In the Resolution field select 204 x196 dpi (Fine) to create faxes in high-quality resolution. Or select 204 x 98 dpi (Normal) to create faxes in draft quality.

4.     Click Apply to save settings. All the changes are applied immediately.
