Using
Fax Voip with FaxTalk Messenger Pro
1.
You can
download FaxTalk Messenger
Pro software from our site: http://www.t38faxvoip.com/downloads/ftmpdemo.exe
. Or you can download
it at FaxTalk.com
site.
2.
To
install the program follow FaxTalk Messenger
Pro Setup Wizard.
3.
Create
virtual Fax Voip COM port from Fax Voip FaxModem Control Panel.
4.
Attach
modem for Fax Voip COM port. To install modem open your Fax Voip
FaxModem Control Panel, select “Lines”, then click “Modems” button.
Follow instructions in “Adding/Removing Fax Voip modems” or in
“Configuring 3-rd party Virtual COM Ports” sections of this user
manual. Note, that current version of Fax Voip installs modified drivers for
"Standart 14400 bps Modem" with support for "Caller ID
via TAPI" function. Therefore, you should not add modems using "Phone and Modem Options" system window.

Remember that Fax Voip supports up to 100
virtual lines simultaneously. The number of fax lines you can use
simultaneously and quality of faxing may vary on the speed and quality
of your internet or broadband connection. Fax
Voip, however, always uses real time fax over IP.

To configure Modem with FaxTalk Messenger Pro
1.
Start
FaxTalk Messenger Pro program.
2.
In
the main window in menu select “Tools”, then click “Options”.

3.
In the left pane of the “FaxTalk Messenger Pro Settings”
window select “Modem”,
then select modem record, then click <Change> button.

4.
Follow the instructions of
the wizard. In the “Modem Selection” window select “Standart
14400 bps Modem”, attached to your Fax Voip COM-port, then
click <Next> button to start modem Auto-detection procedure.

5.
At
the end of Auto-detection you will see results. The Fax Command Set for your modem will be
auto-detected
as "Class
1". The Voice Command Set
for your modem will be auto-detected as "Conexant SP3131". You should agree with this auto-detection. Note that you can manually select another Voice Command Set
for Fax Voip, if to select “Don’t query the modem, I will
select it from a list” option in the previous step. Some Voice Command Sets
will be compatible, others are not.

6.
In
the “Modem Query” window click <Finish> button.
7.
In the “FaxTalk Messenger Pro Settings”
window click <OK>
button.

Send a Fax with FaxTalk Messenger Pro
To send a fax
1.
Open the document you want to fax.
2.
On the File menu, click Print.
On the Print dialog box, select printer FaxTalk Messenger Pro 7.5.
Then click <Print> button.
3.
In
the “Fax
Wizard” window (Step 1), enter the recipient fax number
in the “Fax” field, then click <Next> button.

4.
In
the final wizard step, click <Send> button.

5.
The
FaxTalk Messenger Pro program will automatically call
the fax number and send the fax.

To configure Voice & Fax Answering Machine
1.
In
the main FaxTalk Messenger Pro window in menu select “Tools”,
then click “Options”.
2.
In
the “FaxTalk Messenger Pro Settings” window in the configuration
list on the left, click “Voice Messaging”. On the “Voice
Messaging” configuration page, select the Mailbox (Main
Mailbox 1) and click <Properties> button.

3.
In
the “Main Mailbox Properties” configuration tab make
the necessary settings.

4.
To
play the Answering Machine Greeting before Receiving Fax or
Recording Voice Message check “Play greeting to caller”
option.
5.
Select
the desired action in the “Perform the following
action” field. Select “Take Message” option, if you want to have a
possibility to Record Voice Messages. Select “Receive Fax”
option, if you want to switch to the fax mode immediately after the greeting or immediately
after a response to the incoming
call.
Select “Hang Up” option, if you do not want to receive Fax and
Voice Massages after playing the greeting.
6.
Check
“Automatically detect incoming faxes”, if
you want to have a
possibility to
detect and receive
a fax when using a voice mailbox.
7.
Click
<OK> button.

To configure Remote Access to Voice & Fax Mailbox
Remote Access to Mailbox allows the user to dial in
from a remote location in order to check for received voice and fax messages.
The user can
manage fax-voice
mailbox
remotely via DTMF
tones. DTMF Detection
function is supported by the current version of Fax
Voip. FaxTalk
Messenger Pro provides a wide range of remote
management functions: you
can listen to and manage voice messages, overwrite Answering Machine Greeting remotely, listen to
information about the faxes in your mailbox, etc. To enable Remote Access to Mailbox function, do the following:
1.
In
the main FaxTalk Messenger Pro window in menu select “Tools”,
then click “Options”.
2.
In
the “FaxTalk Messenger Pro Settings” window in the configuration
list on the left, click “Voice Messaging”. On the “Voice
Messaging” configuration page, select the Mailbox (Main
Mailbox 1) and click <Properties> button.

3.
In
the “Main Mailbox Properties” configuration tab in the “Remote
access settings” section check “This mailbox can be accessed
remotely”.

4.
Enter
the Access Code to mailbox in the “Password for remote access
is:” field, if need.
5.
Click
<OK> button.

To receive Incoming Fax & Voice Messages
By default the FaxTalk Messenger Pro
starts when you start your operating system and can automatically
respond to incoming calls. Depending
on the settings made
(see “To configure Voice & Fax Answering Machine” and “To configure remote access
to Voice & Fax mailbox” sections) after the auto
response, the FaxTalk
Messenger Pro can:
1.
To
receive a Fax.
2.
To
record a Voice Message.
3.
To
provide Remote Access to Mailbox for caller.
At the time of playing the greeting, the following additional
features are available:
1.
To
begin recording a voice message immediately by
pressing *1
(star + 1).
2.
To
begin receiving a fax immediately by pressing *2 (star + 2).
3.
To access FaxTalk Messenger Pro
remotely by
pressing # + 1 + #, where “1” is a mailbox number.
