Using Fax
Voip with Microsoft Fax
Note: if you are planning to
use FaxVoip with Microsoft Fax in Windows XP, you must understand, that
you can use only one Fax line to send and receive faxes. If you are
planning to use FaxVoip with Microsoft Fax in Windows 2003 Server, you
can use any number of FaxVoip lines.
1.
Add virtual COM ports from FaxModem Control
Panel.
2.
Add modems for these COM ports from FaxModem
Control Panel. You must add “Standart 14400 bps Modem” for
every line, you are planning for using with Microsoft Fax Service.
3.
Install Microsoft Fax Service, if it is not
installed on your PC. Start ->Settings ->Control Panel
->Add or Remove Programs ->Add/Remove Windows Components Select
, Check “Fax Servises” and Click the <Next> Button
to install Fax Servises.

To configure the Fax Services in Windows XP
1.
Click Start, point to All Programs,
point to Accessories, point to Communications, point to Fax
; click Fax Console.

2.
If the Fax Configuration Wizard does
not automatically start, then on the Tools menu, click Configure
Fax....
3.
On the Welcome to Fax Configuration Wizard
page, click Next.
4.
On the Sender Information page, type
the optional information for the fax cover page. Then, click Next.
5.
On the Select Device for Sending or
Receiving Faxes page, select the Fax Device Standart 14400 bps Modem (You must select the modem, installed
for FaxVoip virtual COM port.). Select the Enable
Send check box. If you want to be able to receive incoming faxes,
select the Enable Receive check box. Then, click Next.

6.
On the Transmitting Subscriber
Identification (TSID) page, optionnaly enter your fax number. Then,
click Next.
7.
On the Called Subscriber Identification
(CSID) page, optionnaly enter your fax number. Then, click Next.
8.
On the Routing Options page, select
the Print it on check box if you want received faxes to be
automatically printed. Then, click Next.
9.
On the Completing the Fax Configuration
Wizard page, click Finish.

To configure the Fax Services in Windows Server 2003
1.
Click Start, point to All Programs,
point to Accessories, point to Communications, point to Fax;
click Fax Console.

2.
If
the Fax Configuration Wizard does not automatically start, then
on the Tools menu, click Configure Fax....
3.
On the Welcome to Fax Configuration Wizard
page, click Next.
4.
On the Sender Information page, enter the optional information
for the fax cover page. Then, click Next.
5.
On the Select Devices for Sending Faxes
page, select the Fax Devices Standart 14400 bps Modem
and so on. Then, click Next. (You must select modems, installed for FaxVoip
virtual COM ports.).
6.
On the Transmitting Subscriber
Identification (TSID) page, optionnaly enter your fax number. Then,
click Next.
7.
On the Select Devices for Receiving Faxes
page, if you want to be able to receive incoming faxes, select the Fax
Devices Standart 14400 bps
Modem and etc.
Then, click Next.

8.
On the Called Subscriber Identification
(CSID) page, optionnaly enter your fax number. Then, click Next.
9.
On the Routing Options page, select
the Print it on check box if you want received faxes to be automatically
printed. Then, click Next.
10.
On the Completing the Fax Configuration
Wizard page, click Finish.

Send a Fax
To send a fax
1.
Open the document you want to fax.
2.
On the File menu, click Print.
On the Print dialog box, select printer Fax. Then, click Print.
3.
On the Welcome to the Send Fax Wizard
page, click Next.
4.
On the Recipient Information page, enter the recipient name in the
To field
and the recipient fax number in the Fax number field, and then click Add.
When all recipients are added, click Next.

5.
On the Preparing the Cover Page page,
optionally select Select a cover page template with the following
information check box and complete the corresponding information.
Then, click Next.
6.
On the Schedule page, click Next.
7.
On the Completing the Send Fax Wizard
page, click Finish.
Your
computer will automatically call the fax numbers and send the fax.

To receive a fax in Windows XP or Windows Server 2003
If you configured the Fax Services to
automatically receive faxes, your computer will automatically answer
the calls on the fax line and store the received faxes in the Fax
Console.
To view received faxes
1.
Click Start, point to All Programs,
point to Accessories, point to Communications, point to Fax,
and then click Fax Console.
2.
On the left panel, select Inbox to
view received faxes.
