Log File Path

Here you can choose the directory in which the debug log file is stored and change the name of this file. You can browse to a file or enter the file path. By default the debug log is stored in the *{CommonAppDataFolder}\FaxVoip Softphone\log\debug.txt file.

Enable debug logging

The purpose of this option is to create a debug log file, which contains essential information about Fax Voip Softphone actions and behaviour in case of bugs and crashes.

Clear log at startup

Check this option to automatically remove debug log file on Fax Voip Softphone startup.

<View>

Use this button to view debug log file.

<Delete>

Use this button to remove debug log file.

<To Log folder>

Use this button to open the folder in which the debug log file is stored, in Windows Explorer.


Check for updates

Tick this option in order for Fax Voip Softphone to automatically check for new version of the program on start up. If the new version is available, the tray notification message is displayed. To download and install new version, you should click this message. Note that Fax Voip Softphone checks for updates no more frequently than once a day.


Load automatically on Windows startup

Tick this option in order for Fax Voip Softphone to automatically start up when opening Windows.

Minimize to tray on Windows startup

Tick this option in order for Fax Voip Softphone to start up minimised in your system tray when starting with Windows.


<Restore Default View>

Use this button to restore the default view of the Fax Voip SoftPhone Control Panel and its individual components. This function does not change your SIP, H.323, Fax and other settings.
